Amber started practicing Yoga in 2010 when she was inspired by her back and shoulder pain, she found a couple of studios nearby, and got to know the instructors and asked for private lessons. She became very interested and involved in Yoga for the relief in pain; what she did not know at first is how much it would help her with mental challanges as well. She wanted the most traditional teaching to honor where yoga developed so she went all the way around the world to study in India. Yoga became such a natural connection to herself and the world around her she feels it is her duty to share this knowledge. Through a reflective and intuitive approach to teaching, Amber aims to bring students to a place of relaxation and internal massage using the breath as the point of surrendering more deeply within the asana. Receiving her 200-hour RYT in Rishikesh, India in 2018, she studied the lineages of Hatha and Ashtanga. Amber embodies the energy and philosophy of traditional yoga; she understands that yoga does not start and stop on the mat but extends out in our every day lives offering a more graceful way to self discovery and how to get through challenges that arise with ease. For her yoga is a continuous commitment throughout one’s life. With her calming voice, foundational cues, and offerings of both variations and challenges, she creates an inclusive environment that supports students on their journey.
